In this assignment you will design and build a small project that uses the ideas of "Patterns in Mathematics".

Instructions

Complete all tasks in order. Use the lessons of this chapter, show your own thinking, and do not copy answers from the textbook.

Tasks

  1. Design a small project that uses Introduction: The World Runs on Patterns. Use these ideas: pattern, skip-counting patterns, virahanka numbers, first way.
  2. Draw a flowchart or write the step-by-step algorithm of your project.
  3. Test your project (or trace it by hand) and record what happened.
  4. Write what you would improve next time.

Submission requirements

  • Format: your project files or photos, the flowchart or algorithm, and a short reflection.
  • Length: about one to two pages (200–300 words of writing).
  • Submit online in this assignment as text and/or uploaded files before the due date.
